we consider Jim and Maggie our realtor Family. We met them 8 years ago with the purchase of our first home and most recently with selling that home and purchasing our new home in Deland. Jim continued to be our advocate and not only negotiated a price my hubby was happy with ( my hubby is a tough negotiator) and also negotiated a preoccupancy agreement since we sold our home before our bank had approved the loan on our new home. I have worked with Jim on real estate transactions for the past 11 years. He has helped me with: buying selling and locating a property management company. During the course of the market crash I would intermittently check in with him on the market status (as I now live out of state) and to get his advice on if I should hold or sell. He always gave me the best advice for my personal situation irrespective of if he derived any financial benefit. I have had mixed experiences with realtors in the past but never with Jim. My husband and I met Jim and Maggie about 8 years ago at a home they had listed we were first time homebuyers and had not yet met a realtor we felt comfortable with that all changed the day we met the Ruddys'. We didn't buy that home but we found our realtor family. They worked diligently and showed us a bunch of homes until we found our first home. We stayed connected and knew we would use them for our next home and that's exactly what we did. About 3 years ago we decided to put our house on the market and move to ormond for my husbands work they basically had our house sold and then life happened and we had to scratch the plans and stay in our home. Any other realtor probably would've fired US but not the Ruddys' they were compassionate and continued to be our advocates even if it meant they would lose the sale. My husband and I were convinced they would never want to work with us again but they reassured us they would always be here to help us. So again we were in a position where we wanted to be closer to my husbands work and concurrently listed our home while looking for our new home they continued to work diligently to sell our home at top dollar while negotiating a deal for our new home. We can honestly say the Ruddys' are our biggest advocates and would highly recommend them to friends and family. Jim and Maggie thank you again for being our biggest advocates and realtor Family.
